On August 25th, I put the very last one on Miss Moxie, and I cannot even begin to describe the relief of reaching that milestone.
Earlier this year, I had already finished four quilt tops that hadn’t yet made it onto the longarm, so I was determined to wrap them up before my trip to Utah. On August 31st, I quilted two of them and finished the bindings in the evenings—since I love hand-sewing my bindings to the back after attaching them to the front. By September 2nd, I had the third quilt on Miss Moxie, and on the 4th, I completed the final top. I even brought the last quilt with me on my Utah trip to finish the bindings in my downtime. When I got home, I was officially caught up for the first time in years!
Now it’s time to share some photos and details:

With every quilt top now finished, I’m at a bit of a crossroads. I’m thinking about selling Miss Moxie and either upgrading to a larger model or simply renting time at a local quilt shop. Most of my quilts take only 3–4 hours to quilt, so renting might make more sense—and it would give me the chance to pick up tips and tricks from others.
As for my quilting journey, I’m not sure what’s next. I’ve enjoyed it so much, but I think I may need a little break. I still have fabrics and patterns waiting in the wings, plus several projects I’m in the middle of or have already pre-ordered. Maybe with time, I’ll find the spark of enthusiasm I once had and dive back in. For now, I’m simply savoring the joy of being caught up.
