August 2025 Progress

This month has been incredibly productive! I managed to stay on track with my quilting goals for my block-of-the-month projects and finished the longarming on all my quilt tops completed through 2024. At one point, I had 11 quilt tops waiting to be quilted. That number may not seem like much to some, but for me it felt overwhelming and definitely caused a bit of anxiety. I’m so relieved—and proud—that I finished every single one by the end of this month. Each quilt has its own dedicated blog post, so I won’t be sharing them all here.

Rundown on the 2025 goals, which I am proud to say I am staying on top of:

Vintage Christmas - there were 4 blocks again this month. I am using the Hometown fabric collection scraps from when I made the Quilted Snowman.

Cali & Co Mystery Block - I completed block 8 this month using Corey Yoder's Cali & Co fabric line.

A Quilting Life - I completed the August block using Sherri's Raspberry Summer fabric collection, which is the same collection she is using. Since the blocks are 18 1/2" square, this is going to be a good size quilt when done. I'm excited to see the final layout for this, but that will not be until the end of the year as she doesn't reveal anything ahead of time.

Hometown Christmas - This project is by Sweetwater and I love the embroidery I am learning to do each month. Embroidery is new for me and I am starting to enjoy the process and wondering why I didn't try this sooner. There will always be 2 pieced blocks, a house block and an embroidery block.

In addition to all these BOM projects I have also made some project bags to take on my trip to Utah next month for the Garden of Quilts I will be attending and taking some quilt classes at. I have already loaded these three up with my projects and am ready to go!
Front side has mesh so you can see what's inside.
Backside completed using fabrics from Rasberry Summer collection.
Also used mesh for one side of this one.
Backside - fabrics from Nantucket Summer collection
Backside - fabrics from Bloomberry collection
Used vinyl on this side - can definitely see what's inside, also wanted to see words on fabrics.
Close Up of the words!

Lastly, I also finished Vintage Daisy, which I hope to get on Miss Moxie early September before I leave for Utah as it would be nice to longarm the 4 finished quilts of 2025 before the end of the year as I will have all of these BOM projects to do then as well.

Happy Quilting!
