October 2025 Progress

I mentioned last month that we were starting a renovation of our house and I would be getting a new sewing room out of it. I’m happy to say that part of the renovation is done. I was able to take this past weekend off so I could get my blocks done. The following is my October progress.

Vintage Christmas - there were 4 blocks again this month. I am using the Hometown fabric collection scraps from when I made the Quilted Snowman. There are only be more blocks and then assembly and this quilt will be done. Hope to finish completely in November.

Cali & Co Mystery Block - I completed block 10 this month using Corey Yoder's Cali & Co fabric line. This is one project I wish I had not started and will be glad when it’s over.

A Quilting Life - I completed the October block using Sherri's Raspberry Summer fabric collection, which is the same collection she is using. Since the blocks are 18 1/2" square, this is going to be a good size quilt when done. I'm excited to see the final layout for this, but that will not be until the end of the year as she doesn't reveal anything ahead of time. Excited to see all these big squares put together.

Hometown Christmas - This project is by Sweetwater and I love the embroidery I am learning to do each month. Embroidery is new for me and I am starting to enjoy the process and wondering why I didn't try this sooner. There will always be 2 pieced blocks, a house block and an embroidery block. I love that this quilt is personalized, not only with our name, but also with our city and state. Only one more month and this one will be complete as well.

Happy Quilting!
