Threads of Grace Quilt

A Quilt Full of Beauty, Meaning… and a Goodbye

There are some quilts that feel special from the very beginning…
and then there are the ones that quietly become something more.

Threads of Grace is one of those quilts.

Designed by Kassidy Grace, this pattern is a beautiful blend of piecing and appliquĆ©—each block telling its own soft, gentle story. From delicate florals to timeless star blocks, every section feels intentional… like it was meant to come together just the way it did.

And somehow, that feels fitting—because this quilt became more than just another finish.

It became a closing chapter.

A Design That Speaks Softly

This quilt has a calmness to it that’s hard to put into words.

The soft, muted tones…
The sweet appliquĆ© details…
The balance between traditional piecing and whimsical elements…

It all works together in a way that feels peaceful and grounded.

The fabric line—also designed by Kassidy Grace and her very first collection—adds even more meaning. There’s something really special about working with a designer’s first line. You can feel the heart behind it… the creativity… the beginning of something new.

And in a way, that mirrors this quilt for me too.

The Quilting: A Familiar Comfort

For the quilting, I chose my go-to design—Knit 1 Purl 2.

It’s a pattern I come back to again and again. The soft, flowing movement complements almost any quilt, but especially one like this. It adds texture without overpowering the piecing and appliquĆ©… just enough to bring everything to life.

And this time, it felt even more meaningful.

Because this was quilted on Miss Moxie.

The Last Quilt on Miss Moxie

This quilt holds something I didn’t fully expect when I started it…

It’s the last quilt I quilted on Miss Moxie.

After finishing this piece, I made the decision to sell her as we move toward a new season of life—downsizing and preparing for the road ahead.

Miss Moxie has been part of so many quilts over the years. She’s helped bring so many tops to life… including every quilt I completed in 2025.

And while I knew this moment was coming, I didn’t realize how meaningful it would feel until I stitched the final lines on this one.

There was no big announcement while I was quilting it…
just quiet moments… steady stitching… and a lot of reflection.

Looking back, I couldn’t have chosen a more fitting quilt to be the last.

A Quilt That Feels Like Grace

There’s something about this quilt that feels… gentle.

Like a reminder that seasons change.
That endings can be soft.
That beauty can exist right alongside letting go.

Threads of Grace feels exactly like its name.

It’s a quilt stitched with patience… with intention… and with a whole lot of heart.

Closing a Chapter, Carrying It Forward

While this quilt marks the end of my time quilting on Miss Moxie, it doesn’t mark the end of creating.

If anything, it’s just the beginning of a new chapter.

Different… simpler… maybe a little slower…
but still filled with fabric, creativity, and the same love for quilting that’s always been there.

Because no matter where life takes us…
there will always be stitches.
There will always be stories.

And there will always be quilts.
