July 2025 Progress

I stayed on track with my monthly goals again this month and finally tackled the quilt I mentioned last time—the one where I had come up short on the backing fabric. I removed all the stitches, fixed the issue, and even got Beachwalk loaded back onto Miss Moxie and fully quilted! Click the photo below to see more pictures and read the full post.

Rundown on the 2025 goals, which I am proud to say I am staying on top of:

Vintage Christmas - there were 4 blocks again this month. I am using the Hometown fabric collection scraps from when I made the Quilted Snowman.

Cali & Co Mystery Block - I completed block 7 this month using Corey Yoder's Cali & Co fabric line. I'm still not sure how this quilt is going to look when finish and had I known in January how this quilt was going to be made, I probably would not have participated in this BOM.

A Quilting Life - I completed the July block using Sherri's Raspberry Summer fabric collection, which is the same collection she is using. Since the blocks are 18 1/2" square, this is going to be a good size quilt when done. I'm excited to see the final layout for this, but that will not be until the end of the year as she doesn't reveal anything ahead of time.

A NEW ADDITION

Hometown Christmas - I have added an additional goal to 2025 and that is to complete the Hometown Christmas quilt by Sweetwater. This project started in July and runs for 5 months with each month having 4 blocks to complete. There is piecing, applique' and embroidery. I have never done embroidery so this will be a first.

Two other goals for 2025 was to work on using up scraps to make the Woven Star Block and Bitty Brick House, which I have not completed since March, but this month I was able to complete 3 of each using fabrics from One Fine Day by Bonnie & Camille (for the Beachwalk quilt); Raspberry Summer by Sherri & Chelsi (for the BOM) and Sew Quilty by Erica Arndt (for the Sew Quilty Quilt finished last month).

Happy Quilting!
